Statement

Purpose

I make unique items. Some are meaningful gifts, some are religious in nature, some have utility, and some are just decorations. I want you to have something interesting—something that makes you think, remember, or feel when you look at it. Such an object can be made, destroyed, lost, and found, but it can never be replaced.

Method

Whatever the function, I do not intend to make the same thing twice. Now, there is a metaphysical (and physical) argument against the possibility of the same object existing twice, but I trust that you know what I mean. I will never exactly reconstruct a previous work for another client, or manufacture things on an assembly line. I use contacts and sources around the world to find the materials required for the construction of an interesting object, often bringing together many elements which would not have encountered each other without this effort.

Result

Whether it’s one of a series or a completely unique item we came up with together, what you end up with is really yours. This is about the item’s significance to you or its recipient, not resale value.

When you give such a gift, you’re saying more than “I want to give you something expensive.” A personalized gift is truly for one person, and to be given such consideration is a gift in itself.

Or if it’s for you, you just have something really cool.
